S E R G I O   D.   R O B L E T O
Focused on the rationale of immediate experience and phenomenological ideas these works investigate the act of day dream or introspection.  Panoramic like views mimic the demarcated territory within actual vision including the periphreal.  Each work is a pairing of the actual record of the place of introspection with another record of the act of introspection as recorded through unconcsious movement with paint. The latter is achieved in the same way we can pet our dog without thinking about the action while thinking of other things.

After several attempts to depict a genuine record of introspection through paint I found the truest depictions occured with objects I simply held in my hand while I was in a stae of deep thought.  The result was the pen with chew marks, the two $1 bills, and the puddy.
